It's portable they emulate fine, great for work travel.īut yea, it's taken me almost 20 years to appreciate SF3. I also like emulating them on the vita and Ambernic 351m. Also the upscale is supper sharp on Dreamcast to me the others still feel a bit fuzzy or off in some way. The PS3 and PS4 versions are pretty awesome but I tend to go back to the Dreamcast probably for that late 90's feel. I got a retrotink 5x a while ago and I haven't played the PS2 version with my new setup. But that might be based on my upscaling setup. I do prefer the Dreamcast ports, I picked up a Dreamcast in 2019 and was hooked. The PS2 anniversary edition I just don't remember why I didn't pick that up at the time. I skipped the dreamcast as I was poor and just leaving college so I missed those great ports. Lots of nights with friends, cheep beer and rounds of EX. And, I might take some crap about it now but in college we still enjoyed the SF EX 3D games. The Saturn ports of the VS games and Vampire games were just so great. I was saving my arcade coins for home ports. Awesome high-low mixups, great pressure, many reset. Great damage and many juggle combos allow for versitility and threatening offense. One of the best overheads in the game, unreactable, hits crouchers, can combo into super art 3. ![]() ![]() Marvel VS Capcom was so much more of a visual experience.Īt the time: Playstation and Saturn ports were so good and being college poor, why the arcades died. Great mobility with his ducking move, incredibly fast and low jump arc, and solid dashes. I remember playing 3rd strike for the first time at the arcade and even with the larger roster. Mod Note: This run utilizes a workaround hack to disable the black bar transitions inbetween rounds because of how it effects online play on Fightcade. And since it was never released to home consoles till way late I just never played it much. The roster was so small, the game play seemed so slow/dull compared to the VS series. It was a huge disappointment on original release. I was in college when it was first released. Want to discuss Capcom in general?
